Weekly Training Report!
My weekly training pace was 6:36 per mile in this weekly training report. I’ve felt somewhat drained from running lately. I’m not sure if it’s due to lack of motivation, lack of running partners, the SUMMER HEAT, or what. Regardless, I still made myself at least get out there and run.
Weekly Training Report: Total – 46.25 miles.
Run Total – 40 miles.
Hike Total – 0 miles.
Bike Total – 6.25 miles.
Sunday July 17 – 5 mile run.
I ran 5 miles in 00:32:55.
Monday July 18 – 3.1 miles.
Monday I ran 3.1 miles in 00:19:51.
Tuesday July 19 – 10.25 miles.
Tuesday I ran 10.25 miles in 01:10:52.
Wednesday July 20 – 10 miles.
I was able to get myself out of bed in the morning, I ran 4 miles in 00:29:26. In the evening, I ran 6 miles in 00:39:53.
Thursday July 21 – 3.53 mile run, 6.25 mile bike.
This was supposed to be the second night of racing for the Thursday Nights at the Track event in Knoxville put on by the Knoxville Track Club. Read about the Thursday Nights at the Track recap here! However, it was blazing hot out, the event was about 30 minutes away from us, and I felt somewhat drained from the heat of the day, that I opted to not go to the event. The event was only hosting two different races, the mile and 4 x 800 relay. The previous week had 4 different races, so that one was totally worth it.
I ran 3.53 miles with some moderately hard 0.5 mile repeats in 0:20:32. I also biked 6.25 miles to and from the location where I did my run training.
Friday July 22 – 3.5 miles.
Friday I ran 3.5 miles in 0:22:14.
Saturday July 23 – 4.62 mile run.
Saturday I ran 4.62 miles 0:28:18.
The training this week averaged a faster pace. But on the flip-side, there were not as many training miles run.
I don’t think I’ll hit the original goal of 300 miles as I mentioned in my July Goals 2016 post. Several factors led to a decreased mileage count, which I’m not saying are excuses.
I’m hoping that I start to feel more motivated soon, so I can get back on a higher level of training for my races that are coming up.
